Sister City is a band a long time in the making. Playing together in one form or another for the past five years, Deirdre and Lou have done
everything from psychedelic experimental rock to old time folk, backing up each other and various singer/songwriters and musicians
including Matt and Pete from Enemy Love, Alex from
the Damnwells, and they even had a short stint with Adam and Dave from Company called the Emotions a few years back.
They started playing with Dave Bush in 2001 as the YoungHearts (with Adam sometimes filling in on bass) which was an eclectic group with many songwriters that
also featured Ted Southern of Oakley Hall on banjo. When the YoungHearts disbanded in the summer of '03,
Deirdre, Dave and Lou decided to start a project that would focus on Deirdre's songwriting and voice, and stick to a country-influenced rock sound
(Dave and Lou also started another even more eclectic project the swears). They recruited Adam from Company
to play bass, which was fairly easy since he and Deirdre had just moved in together. Together, and I think you'll agree, the four of them form one of the most
solid acts around, playing great songs with true craftsmanship, and making sure you'll have a great time.
